The Golf Challenge is a national competition and a campaign to help raise funds for junior golf programs and help generate sales for local companies. Play some golf, do some business, and make a difference.
It’s a 12 month campaign to secure the maximum number of Teams, Sponsors, Cities and donations. It is also a marketing campaign for tournament sponsors and local junior golf organizations.
Golf is an outdoors, non-contact sport that teaches children patience, respect, concentration, honesty, discipline, and emotional control. They can play for a lifetime, for exercise, friendship, and business. It’s a national golf challenge. How many companies can we help and how many futures can we change?
Teams of 4 players (men and/or women) compete with other teams in their city. Each team must select a golf club or golf course to represent. Each team plays 6 matches between May 1 and August 1, 2022. It’s FREE and if you win, so do junior golfers in your community.
Play with your regular group or put a team together. A team of 4 players exchanges 2 players with another team. Each foursome schedules their match. Each player competes with one opponent using their GHIN handicap for that course. Prior to the match the two competing players determine what “strokes” each player gets on each hole.
Players earn 1 point for winning each hole. The Team that scores the most points receives 2 additional points for winning the match. Teams post their scores and their points after each match. Teams and Players are listed on City, State, and the National leaderboards by points scored. Every team and player is competing with every team and player in their city, state, and national tournament. At the end of the season the highest scoring team and player win each tournament. If you win here, you are a Champion! Please review our rules and regulations.
Sponsors and Awards
It’s all about business, marketing, and helping your community. There are 10 sponsor opportunities for every City, State, and National tournament. The sponsor pledge is based on sales generated durning the tournament season, September 2021 through September 2022.
Starting September 1 and every month until March 1, 2022 we will feature the sponsors with the highest pledge amounts on each City, State and National tournament. The final sponsors will be selected March 1, 2022. All (100%) of all pledges will be donated to a junior golf organizations selected by each tournament’s champion. Players and friends know the more they work with sponsors, the more they help their community. There are many marketing opportunities.
Each tournament page lists local companies that provide donations and Player Awards for tournament champions. Player awards can be golf equipment, golf travel, and other products and services. Use your website, social media, and other marketing to increase participation, sales, and donations. Visit the Sponsors page and contact us for additional information.
Golf Clubs and Courses
It’s a challenge! How many teams and sponsors will we have? How companies will we help? How many futures will we change? Organize your own tournament. Secure sponsors for your tournament. Start a campaign to help raise funds for local junior golf programs.
Post team results on your website and provide awards for your winners. Your winners may be our champions. One team, one player, and one club will win each City and State tournament. One team, one player, and one club will be the 2021 National Champions.
Goals and Objectives
The PROFAN SPORTS Golf Challenge is dedicated to Bill D. Goforth. He played for 70 years, won many trophies, made many friends, and helped many juniors and seniors play better golf. He was always giving someone a lesson. He was a golfer, a successful businessman, and humanitarian.
Our goals are his goals, to help children benefit from this wonderful sport and support the communities in which they live. Register a team or sponsor a tournament.
